With the World Championships in full swing, athletics fans are already looking ahead to 2017 when the next championships come to London for the first time ever. Supporters can already register for ticket information on the London 2017 site, but BASC can confirm that they are in advanced negotiations with organisers and expect to make available their usual offering of the best seats for the best prices to members.

The club will let members know as soon as more details become available. The Championships will run 5-13 August 2017 with the IPC Championships 15-23 July. This will be the first time in history that the two events have been held in the same city in the same year. In July and August 2017, "the world’s best athletes and para-athletes will compete in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park over 17 days of captivating sporting drama".

Normal service on the British Athletics Supporters Club website has been resumed! The club apologises for any inconvience caused by the week long blackout to both website and BASC emails. The issue was administrative rather than technical, and the resolution was out of our hands. Persistence on the part of those involved with the website eventually pushed the various bodies who had responsibility to reinstate the club's domain.

The process for British Athletics Supporters Club members to register for a login to their secure area of the site has changed. The change in procedure came after the Spring edition of Backtrack had gone to press, but details were included in the Chairman's letter that was sent out with the magazine. Members are advised to ignore the procedure outlined in Backtrack and to refer to the Chairman's letter. If members no longer have access to the letter then please contact BASC for instructions.

As well as adding more content and better functionality, the new site works much better on mobile devices, so you can stay up to speed when you are on the move.
