Jack Green was the top placed Briton in a windy Stockholm Diamond League. He finished 4th in the 400m hurdles in a time of 49.29s, bettering the World Championship qualifying mark again. He may have done even better had he not clipped the final hurdle.

Lynsey Sharp also produced another world qualifying time in the 800m finishing eighth in 2:00.19, a season's best. Matt Hudson-Smith was a late withdrawal from the 400m, leaving Rabah Yousif as the sole British athlete. Rabah came 6th in 46.06s.

Andy Pozzi was hoping for a good performance over the sprint hurdles, but he was disqualified for a false start. In the 100m flat, Andre De Grasse came home in 9.69s, but with a following wind of +4.8m/s.
