3000m and 5000m runner Abdi has already represented Britain 5 times on the track and the cross country track and we send him our congratulations and best wishes for the future.
Young Female Athlete Award
Jade Ive of Sutton and District AC is pictured after receiving the club's Female Young Athlete award for 2007 during the U20/U23 trials at Bedford on Saturday June 21st 2008. Pole vaulter Jade had already recorded the qualifying height of 3.95m for the World Juniors in Bydgoszcz the weekend before at the SEAA U20 Championships at Crystal Palace, and won the U20W Pole Vault at Bedford on the same day as receiving our trophy.

BASC Ron Pickering Coaching Award
Chris Zah, of Victoria Park Harriers and Tower Hamlets AC, is pictured with 400m hurdler and protege Perri Shakes-Drayton after receiving the BASC Ron Pickering Award during BIG 2008 at the Bedford Stadium on Sunday June 1st 2008. Chris is also coach to young 100m sprinter Leevan Yearwood.
